HELP KEEP YOUR
LODGE CLEAN
1. BEFORE
LEAVING CAMP
a. Close
all windows, lock all doors and draw all shades
b. Make
sure all the lights are out,
set
thermostats to 62 degrees.
c. Shut
off the propane at the tanks (2 tanks).
d. Winterize - (Between October 1st and April 1st). Drain the
entire
water system.
i. Turn off the Well Pump Breaker in the Panel Box
ii. Open all faucets at the basin. (Kitchen, Bath Room
including
the Shower,
Upstairs Bathroom
iii. Flush
the toilets and sponge out remaining water in the
tank & use anti-freeze in the toilets and all drains.
(Approx 3 Gallons will winterize the entire camp).
iv. Open the outside drains in the shed and the outside
spigot on the side
of the house. (make sure it’s draining
outside & not frozen.)
v. Open the Gate Valves on the (2) two drain pipes in the
cellar. Make
sure such valves are in the open position.
vi. Drain
the Water Pump as prescribed (Open the Tank
Valve)
vii.
Turn off the Breaker Box (knife switch)
on the wall
above the Water Heater, open the valve at the bottom
the hot water tank (shed) and drain the
tank (make sure
it’s draining outside and not frozen).
e. Sweep & Mop Kitchen & Dining Room floors,
vacuum carpets.
f. Turn
all breakers to the off position unless otherwise marked.
g. Please
remove all food that will spoil.
h. Refrigerators
shall be left clean and turned off. One white
refrigerator may be left
on if there are any non-perishables
placed in it. Leave one
refrigerator on unless otherwise posted.
i. Do
not dump garbage at camp. We now have trash service at
camp, Please
do one of the following:
i. Everything
has to be put in garbage bags and then placed
into
the garbage drums outside. All bottles, cans and
garbage
may be placed in the same bag. If you are
uncertain, please notify Ed Long
(570-265-6874), or
Wayne Lantz (570-265-9293).
ii. If
it is easier to take it home with you, please do so.
Do not leave any garbage inside camp.
2. HOUSE
RULES
a. Everyone
is responsible for his own equipment. It must be in
order and clean around the bed. All bedding shall
be stowed
upon leaving camp.
b. Everyone
must take turns doing the dishes and setting the
table. A member up for one week only is not
obligated to hunt.
c. Guns
may be loaded when leaving the porch.
d. Guns
are to be unloaded a safe distance from the house.
e. Face
the mountain to load or unload your gun!
f. No
loaded guns are allowed in cars, or the house or on
the porch!
g. You
are on your honor, BULLETS AND BEER DO NOT MIX!
If you drink, leave your gun alone!
h. When
coming in for lunch, guns are not to be laid on chairs or
set standing on the porch as they could be
knocked over.
They should be put in a car or a gun rack,
unloaded and with
the action left open.
i.
Be sure all equipment is put into its proper
place and is not
left lying around.
j. The
House and Welfare chairman (usually the Vice President)
must be notified of all club use. All
reservations for camp use
shall be made in advance with the House and
Welfare
chairman.
3. DEER
AND HUNTING REGULATIONS
a. The
club has no standard way of hunting. You may form a
drive or hunt alone, but you must inform
the hunt captain of
your intentions.
b. There
will be no shooting of game not in season. (We abide by
the Pennsylvania game laws at all times.)
